Happy New Year!
I hope everyone is as excited for this year as I am. I was not sure if I actually wanted to continue this blog because my heart was not completely in it. I somehow lost my passion for blogging and I realised it was because I was not really putting my stamp on my posts. I was not sharing my thoughts and opinions. I was just basically creating another Pinterest board on another platform. As a result of my realisation, I started adding a little bit of text here and there to my posts just to see how I felt about it. To be perfectly honest it’s a lot more rewarding than just posting pictures.
It is kind of daunting to share your thoughts on the internet. Especially with all the cyber bullying these days and not to mention the little voice in your head that keeps on saying “You’re not good enough”. However, I’ve reached a point in my life where I’m not as insecure as I used to be. I can safely say that confidence truly kicks in when you turn thirty. Yes! I’m thirty and the fact that I’m sharing that with the entire internet is a clear indication of my new found confidence.
So I decided I’m going to give this blogging thing a proper go to see where it takes me. I hate doing something half-ass. So now I'm going to use my full-ass and create great content on a regular basis. Hopefully I can inspire you in terms of fashion and maybe even help you gain the confidence to start your own blog, with your full-ass.
So with all that being said I want to start this year with a new category on my blog. “How to style” will give you loads of inspiration on how to style something. It can be absolutely anything from basics like denim jackets to trends like 90’s sunglasses. Please let me know what you would like to see in the comments. I would love to get your input on these posts.
So lets talk denim jackets shall we?
I think the denim jacket officially graduated from basic to classic quite a while ago and as a result it is a must-have in every fashion-lovers wardrobe. If you don’t own one you are probably from another planet……….. just kidding! The denim jacket can be dressed up or down, you can wear it in summer or winter and maybe even to work if you’re office dress code is business casual. You can literally wear it with anything. I would even style it with a glitzy sequin evening gown and sneakers if you're going to a fashion week event and want to look super edgy. There are so many ways you can wear it, the options are seriously limitless.
